Marin County progress by population since 2018
Chronic homelessness
- 948 chronically homeless individuals have been housed through Permanent Supportive Housing, 5 in July.
Veteran homelessness
- 146 homeless veterans have been housed, 1 in July.
- Approximately 8 homeless veterans remain.
Family homelessness
- 307 homeless families have been housed, 2 in July.
- Approximately 31 sheltered and 17 unsheltered homeless families are in Marin.
*Marin County's local definition of Chronic Homelessness is more broad than Federal HUD guidelines, which is why our 2024 Point in Time Count of 217 Chronically Homeless individuals is a smaller count and reflects those standards.
