Call to Order and Roll Call
Chair Brown called the meeting to order at 12:33.
Approval of Agenda

Open Time for Public Expression
- Commissioner Elkin: the Novato Health Fair will be happening on May 20 from 12-2 pm at Margaret Todd Senior Center.
Presentation: Ombudsman Quarterly Report (Dan Steckline)
- Marin County Long-Term Care Ombudsman Dan Steckline gave a presentation about types of care for people with memory loss, including discussion of the regulations applicable to facilities that advertise memory care services. Committee members were interested in seeing the California regulations applicable to dementia care, and staff will distribute a copy of Title 22, Section 87705 to the committee.
Chair’s Report: Commissioner Brown
- Transportation Fair at Vivalon on April 30 went well.
- Scam Jam was well attended and appreciated.
- At next meeting, Kevin Wright from Parks and Recreation will present.
- At the July meeting, someone from Adult Protective Services and/or Information and Assistance will present.
Vice Chair’s Report: Commissioner Winer

Marin Food Policy Council: Commissioner Brown
- None
BHSA Act Update:
- None.
Staff Report: Amy Dietz
- There is a County Nutrition Security Plan being developed.
- Staff member Krenek will work to make the current Social Isolation Power Point (PPT) ADA compliant.
- Staff member Krenek received exuberant support in developing a standardized MCCOA PPT template.
Discussion, Voting:
- Focus for next fiscal year - There was discussion and general consensus about moving forward with the topic of social isolation next year.
- Nutrition Data - Staff member Dietz shared a demographic breakdown of home-delivered and congregate meal clients in Fiscal Year 25-26.

- None
Business Items for the Next Agenda:
- Brainstorm concrete next steps on topic of social isolation.
