Apply to volunteer with Marin HHS

Need to know

  • Onboarding is a multi-step process and includes
    • Paperwork including a contract and oath of confidentiality
    • County Compliance and HIPAA trainings (additional trainings may be required too, depending upon the placement)
    • In most cases a Livescan (DOJ and FBI background check) will be required but will be provided at no charge to the volunteer. Clearance must be obtained before a placement can be made.

Before you start

  • Review available HHS volunteer roles before you apply.
  • Have your contact information, availability, and relevant experience ready.

What to do

  1. Open the online volunteer registration.
  2. Complete and submit.
  3. Wait for a call from the volunteer coordinator, and be ready for a possible in-person interview.
  4. Complete onboarding steps, including paperwork, confidentiality agreements, and required trainings.
