Substance use services

Substance use services are provided for individuals who are on Marin Medi-Cal or are low-income and uninsured.

This service is for individuals who are on Marin Medi-Cal or are low-income and uninsured seeking substance use treatment or recovery support.

Available treatment and recovery services

There are a variety of different levels of care and settings in which substance use services are offered, and there is no one-size-fits-all approach. While treatment programs vary, they generally consist of a combination of one-on-one therapy or counseling, group counseling, medications, care coordination and other supports. The following levels of care are available for Marin Medi-Cal members and Marin low-income uninsured community members:

• Intensive Outpatient Treatment
• Outpatient Treatment
• Recovery Services
• Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) / Medications for Addiction Treatment (MAT)

Marin County substance use treatment providers

Services are provided through local and Bay Area substance use treatment providers. Out-of-county residential providers

• Health Right 360 — residential services for adults 18+ with co-occurring serious mental illness and substance use.
• Waterfront Recovery Services — residential and residential withdrawal management for adults 18+.
• Bi-Bett — residential services for adults 18+ including perinatal and men’s programs, as well as Spanish-speaking men’s program.
• Women’s Recovery Services — residential services for perinatal adults 18+.

Marin Driving Under the Influence (DUI) Program

• Letters of completion and referrals: If you completed required classes with Bay Area Community Resources and are requesting a letter of completion, contract Marin BHRS at Marin BHRS or by telephone at 415-473-7075 so staff can review the pertinent records.

All American Indian and Alaska Native Marin County Medi-Cal members may choose to receive DMC-ODS services through DMC-certified Indian Health Care Providers, whether or not the provider is contracted with the County.
