Mandated Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting

Child Abuse and Neglect Reporting Hotline provides support with Emergency and Preparedness for Children & Youth.

About this service

Marin County Children and Family Services offers trainings on child abuse and neglect for mandated reporters and others in the community. Trainings can be specific (targeted to particular professions or topics) or general, and can be delivered in-person or virtually at a time that works for your team.

Who this service is for

This service is for mandated reporters and other members of the community who want training about identifying and reporting child abuse and neglect.

  • Mandated reporters: people whose profession legally requires them to report suspected child abuse and neglect. Trainings are provided specifically for mandated reporters.
  • Non-mandated reporters: neighbors, family members, friends, and other concerned community members. Non-mandated reporters may make a verbal report by calling the hotline. They are not required to complete or submit the Suspected Child Abuse Report form and are not required to have training.
