Get well water testing (Public Health Laboratory)

Need to know

Pick up prepared water bottles at Marin County Public Health, 3240 Kerner Blvd, San Rafael. Press the white doorbell labeled “Water Sample Drop Off.”
Collect your sample and keep it refrigerated, or in a cooler with ice packs.
Drop off your sample the same day you collect it. Beginning 04/01/2025, drop off Monday to Thursday, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., and 1 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Nitrate samples are Tuesdays only.
If applicable, pay the well water testing fee online. See portal for well water testing prices.
