Request a user login to SmartCare

Need to know

Behavioral Health and Recovery Services (BHRS) uses SmartCare as its electronic health record for specialty mental health and substance use services.

Service providers are required to have access to SmartCare for clinical documentation and billing purposes.

Before you start

  • Have staff information ready, such as:
    • What service area will they be working in -- Mental Health or Substance Use?
    • What is their National Provider Identifier (NPI) #? Taxonomy Code?
    • If they hold a clinical licensure or certification, please have that information available including your number and its expiration date.
    • What programs and/or sites they will be working with

What to do

Supervisors or delegated staff should complete the Staff User Access Form to request access for a new user profile.

BHRS will review completed User Access Forms and contact you with any questions or follow up. Please allow up to 10 business days for profile setup in SmartCare.
