Social Services

Social Services helps Marin County residents meet basic needs, stay safe, and build stability through programs for food, health care, income, housing, and family support.

About

Social Services connects people of all ages and backgrounds to support at every stage of life. Services include food and health benefits like CalFresh (SNAP) and Medi-Cal, cash aid such as CalWORKS, General Relief, and CAPI, and job support through employment and training programs. We also provide protection and care through Adult Protective Services, Children and Family Services, foster care, and the Public Guardian. Additional services support older adults, veterans, and people with disabilities, including IHSS, the Long-Term Care Ombudsman, and local resource centers.
